This last weekend (10-8-16), we had the pleasure of hosting two lovely guests at our estate.  Kevin and Christine Veon stayed Friday night through Monday morning.  It was a short trip to the Big Island but we squeezed in as much food and fun as possible.  They got in late Friday night so we relaxed at home that evening.  On Saturday the girls went to the “Spa” and got a few well deserved massages.  We cooked a nice home made meal for dinner later that night and then went to Volcanoes national park so they could see the lava and red glow coming from Kilauea Crater.  Sunday morning we took an amazing helicopter ride to go view more lava, the tour took us directly over an active lava vent complete with bubbling magma and down to the ocean where the lava meets the sea.  We also talked the pilot into taking us directly over our new home.  It looks huge from above, I’ve included some photos on this post.  After the helicopter ride we went to several different water falls in the Hilo area and did some swimming and cliff jumping.  The weather was amazing all weekend and everyone had a truly amazing time.  A huge thank you to Kevin and Christine for making it over to see us and buying us food and tours through out their trip.  Free food and helicopter tours are never expected but they are appreciated.  My favorite part was definitely the helicopter ride and getting to see the house from a birds eye view.  It stuck out to me like a sore thumb but I knew exactly what I was looking for.  Unfortunately for us, our guests had to continue on to Oahu to live out the rest of their vacation.  Thank you again for incorporating us into your vacation plans, we had a blast.  Here are some photos from the weekend.
