Construction has been going swimmingly at the house, the crew has been doing a great job and we’ve had fairly good weather this week which really helps with production.  It’s either hotter then hell or raining cats and dogs, I’m pretty sure the guys doing the framing would rather be dealing with hotter then hell but both weather conditions have their pros and cons. The second floor sub floor has been installed and the second floor framing will begin this coming Monday.  Stair installation is really at the bottom of the list at this point but that hasn’t stopped Bonny and myself from climbing up the ladders to the second floor and taking in the truly amazing view.  I’ve included pictures, but like so many pictures, it does little to no justice compared to experiencing it first hand.  From the master bedroom we have a beautiful view of the ocean and after I cut down and remove some of the foliage towards the back of the property we should have a great view of Mauna Kea (better known as “The Mountain” locally).  This morning was nice and clear and I could see the observatory through the trees at the top of the summit so hopefully it will only require minimum tree removal to encompass both of these natural beauties into one breath taking view.  Once we have the roof on and the entire structure is completely dried in, I will be able to breath a breath of fresh air, it’s really hard to see all the lumber being constantly rained on but their’s no avoiding it and it will be over soon, hopefully by weeks end (7/24/16).  So what do you think, does it look like a house yet?
