Our first greenhouse is up and running. Mike threw this beauty together in record timing, he is quite the carpenter! The pouring rain put up a good fight but Mike prevailed. Having a home for our produce is very important, mainly because of the mass amount of rain and insects. We have just a few plants started now and plan to plant many self-sustaining crops including but not limited to; Artichokes, Arugula, Asparagus, Basil, Beans, Broccoli, Brussel Sprouts, Carrots, Cauliflower, Celery, Coriander, Corn, Cucumbers, Ginger, Kale, Lettuce, Mushrooms, Onions, Peas, (black)Pepper, Peppers, Potatoes, Pumpkin, Spinach, and Zucchini. Most of these are vegetables containing high-levels of protein, planting and harvesting them will give us the best bang for our buck. Seeds and bulbs are rather pricy but with some luck we will only have to buy them once! Plan a trip to Hawaii, soon I will be able to cook you some yummy stews and salads. PLANt IT!imageimage
